Three updates I'm excited about today!
Hi all!
Three updates I'm excited about today!
1) I am very proud of our progress on the prior auth project with ACP. Things are coming together. Current plan is 7p ET on May 31. We are refining the speakers and message. Emily shared some great structure ideas. Adrienne from ACP has agreed to moderate, Tatiana will be a speaker, and we have several other great candidates to join them. Our intention is to make this a highly aligned, highly engaging, highly hopeful event. Let's go!
2) Sam and I had a terrific conversation with Grant who is part of the Stanford residents movement to unionize. These young docs are doing it right. They are thoughtful, methodical, and absolutely standing together for the greater good. They understand how closely people are watching, and how this needs to be seen as a positive move for all of our future, and not an adversarial one. I feel strongly that Medicine Forward should lean in and publicly support the Stanford residents. This is a way we can lead in a meaningful way, and I'd love to have more dialogue about it.
"Tweetorial" of the day on the topic (please amplify if you can!)
3) We are making progress within our organization as well. I've been testing zoom "office hours" as a chance for members to connect with me and each other. It's been very inspiring, and I'm looking forward to making it a regular activity to keep my ear close to what our members care about. "Book club" is also a real treat. “The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership" has proven to be a wonderful framework, and the connections and accountability are pushing all of us to grow in a way that feels highly relevant to what we need to be the change agents we want to be.
I'm inspired!
